The goal is simple: to provide the care and support you need to stay comfortable and confident in your own space.
When you receive a Home Care Package, the government allocates funding for your care, which is then managed by the Home Care Package provider you choose.

How Do I Know If I’m Eligible?

To determine your eligibility, you’ll need to undergo an independent assessment conducted by the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This is a government-mandated process, and we are unable to perform the assessment ourselves. Learn more about eligibility requirements below.

Home Care Package funding at a glance

There are four levels of funding for Home Care Packages which correspond to the amount of care you need. You should also be aware of the different fees which may apply to your package.

Level 1 Basic care needs $10,588.65 a year
Level 2 Low-level care needs $18,622.30 a year
Level 3 Intermediate care needs $40,529.60 a year
Level 4 High-level care needs $61,440.45 a year
The government contribution changes on 1 July every year; these figures are up to date as at 1 July 2024.

Your Rights as a Care Recipient

At AICS, we believe everyone receiving care deserves exceptional service that upholds all their rights as a Home Care Package recipient. We take this responsibility seriously and encourage you to learn more by reviewing the Charter of Aged Care Rights, a resource created by the Government. This booklet is available in multiple languages, and you can access it here, or watch an informational video here. 
When you choose AICS as your Home Care Package provider, we will provide you with a copy of the Charter of Aged Care Rights and ask you to sign the accompanying acknowledgment sheet to confirm that you have received it. If needed, our team is here to help you understand the document and can also provide it in a language other than English to meet your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sign a long term contract?

Not at all. At AICS, we offer flexible services with no long-term commitments. You’re free to adjust or discontinue your services if your needs or circumstances change.

You have the freedom to end your Care Agreement with us at any time by providing 14 days’ notice.

We don’t charge any Exit Fees if you decide to move on, and our team will fully support you in transitioning to a new provider.

A Case Manager primarily oversees your overall care plan, coordinating services and ensuring funding is allocated appropriately. A Care Manager focuses on your day-to-day needs, working closely with you to ensure your care services are meeting your goals.

Yes, all of our staff are part of the AICS team. This ensures a consistent standard of quality care and that our employees are welltrained, professional, and committed to your wellbeing.

Care visits are designed to suit your unique needs. Whether it’s a short check-in or a longer visit to provide comprehensive care,the duration is entirely flexible based on your requirements.

Your Care Manager is there to make sure you receive the right support when you need it. They’ll help you navigate your care plan, provide guidance, and ensure your services adapt as your needs change over time.

We understand the importance of timely support, so we work to get your services started as quickly as possible once your care plan is in place.

We know how important it is to have consistency in care. We’ll do our best to ensure the same carer attends your visits whenever possible, building trust and familiarity. Occasionally, you may have a different carer to ensure uninterrupted support.

No, we’re proud to say that AICS does not charge daily fees or administration costs. This means your Home Care Package funding goes entirely toward your care, ensuring you get the most out of your support.
