Frequently Asked Questions
How does the NDIS fund MTA?

Medium Term Accommodation(MTA) is funded under Core Supports in your NDIS plan. In order for the NDIS to fund this type of support, they require evidence that you have a home to move into once the MTA funding has concluded

MTA funding only covers the cost of the accommodation which means you will still be require to pay for your day to day living costs such as groceries, food, utility bills etc.

The NDIS needs to deem MTA funding as reasonable and necessary for a person depending on their situation such as:

• No longer having access to supports or a home to live in
• Waiting for your permanent home to be ready or a vacancy in a place where you want to live
